This is the most Mike quote of Mike phrasing I've seen around here in a while. You forgot to add how modest you are and how you're teaching them humility by example.
TraumaRN wrote:Oh Please. They do not act as though they are being forced into anything! My Mom was in the Medical field and ALL 5 of the Siblings are in the Medical Field. She sat us down and made all of us wear stethoscopes and learn Anatomy/Physiology. Really???? If you grow up in a Musical family, chances are you will carry on the tradition. Farmers pass that on to generations upon generations as do auto mechanics, construction workers, so on. The kids are not being forced into anything. Watch some of their interviews before you make such generalizations. If the Kids didn't give a shit or were disinterested- you would see it.
This is true, but it's also entirely possible there is/was some grooming involved. Hard to know for sure. But I hope you're right about these kids.

yeah me either. I can't put my finger on why, but it's a vibe I get that I don't get watching say Wolfgang VH or Dweezil Zappa, Julian Lennon etc..
This is one of those cases where I want to be wrong. Hopefully these kids are just living the dream and have the most supportive family ever.

I agree Billy. I also think they are being Taught by their Dad- not necessarily groomed though. He is a Music Producer so I'm sure he knows what works/sells and what doesn't. Maybe trying to help them not make the same mistakes he may have made in the past? Who knows? Check out their Original "Sail Away" definitely top notch production which Dad was obviously responsible-- Maybe for most of the production but the band wrote the song. They have an interview about the production of that song. Dad can help sell the product but it takes the song/performance by the Musicians to make it sell IMHO. The overall production is the frosting.

So, after some digging I found this Video when they first started out. 8 year old clip-- the Singer is only 11- the other 14 and 15. Obviously piped in piano/bass as those 2 members were too young and probably moving on from diapers. "Cristea" is their last name- changed to Liliac a few years back. Holy fuck, what talent. Not my cup of tea music wise but shit oh dear. Hit/miss with my video posting for some reason. Sorry if you have to follow the Link
