Pdp is good soap.

Pretty epic today. More sketchy blade goodness. Rk chrome. Saponificio varesino just works awesomely. Especially with a boar knot that’s just getting broken in nicely.

My shaves are starting to look boring, but they are going awesome.

Cubebe is good. I wish I knew what it was based on.

This is the Vertice One blade. Same co as Euromax. Good blade!

This brush is breaking in perfectly. I can't stop using it.

I used a fresh Tian Li blade this morning, and it wasn’t the best shave. A few nicks, nothing severe, but that’s probably due more to my being in a rush. Uncle Walter. I like the scent, and the workability of TFS soap makes it one of my favorites.

I’m still interested in a new brush, with longer bristles and a slightly longer handle, and I’ll likely get some more blades, but I’m not in any hurry to get either. And I want something special, where razors are concerned - I love the look of the Blackbird, but I refuse to buy any color other than black oxide. I’m always open to other ideas, too.

RE: "Longer Bristles": You may want to reach out to a brushmaker to see if they can accommodate this request. The "length" is usually determined by how deep the hole is where the knot goes. There are only a handful of knot options available. When I assemble brushes, I always consider the option of adding nylon washers or a coin under the knot to get it high enough. I can't stand low loft knot settings.

Check out Sawdust Creation studios (Bobby Moffett) on Etsy. Good prices, and shallow knot holes. Bobby specializes in some long handles.

That Darn Rob/Chisel and Hound (Rob Moffett), makes really fancy handles, but lots of times, his knot holes are DEEP. I always consider adding height when I assemble.

BTW, I agree on the Oxide Blackbird. Maybe, reach out to Shane Schwartzlander, and see if he will be doing any oxides any time soon.

Completely epic shave today. Things are just coming together lately, shavewise. I think it's because I'm back to using Proraso Green Pre Shave. These new India blades are really good. I'm impressed.

So, BlackFrog House gave me a free bar of Mogno shave soap. It's made by Ach Brito (the Musgo Real people). It's cheap and made for the Portuguese market. However, it's INCREDIBLY high quality. The first time I used it, the scent burned me. Today, it was fine, and it shaved and lathered like the best soaps ever. AMAZING.

Proraso Green is really refreshing, and ADP Essenza is emerging as a mega favorite. Better than original ADP.

This Italian Soda aftershave is the SHIT. Barrel Aged. kind of pricy, but awesome.

Bosco blade was great. Muhle kicks ass

Blackbird awesome, 70th always rules.

We're getting great at this guys. Lots of 10s going on lately!

EDIT: I just jumped to the end of the page to post mine and realized Geno and I both used a B/W pic for the first time in months for me...weird

I had a decent road shave this morning, but I’m not going to get 10s any time soon. Until I step up the game, I’ll be consigned to mediocrity.

Except when Terror/cold water shave or Stupefacente are involved. It’s impossible for me to be mediocre with those combos. I usually break out the ’63, because it’s just plain cool.

Had to do the Italian Soda/Chinotto/Valobra shave again. Just as epic today.

Blade is a piece of shit though. Not even sure of its origin.

NEW Chisel and Hound Umbrella Drinks. I emailed Rob and asked if he could pour more, and he did. I wanted one with a HMW Fan. Awesome little brush. Luxurious. Beautiful.

9/10 because of this garbage blade.

Mythos Tanger ROCKS!!! It's made in Brazil... spice, mango and patchouli... great stuff!!!
I added some violet cologne and menthol to the Old Salt and it's fantastic!!!
Viking Emperor razor would be legit except, for the design flaw that causes the gap adjuster to jump out of alignment if you turn it with the barn doors open.
9/10 because it's Saturday and I didn't go for a BBS.

Got the new stainless milled r41 because I’m a sucker. I’m going to make myself an r41 fan.

Arch brio stuff rules.

I think I'm gonna like the Stainless R41. Great shave today. These Portuguese Ach Brito/Claus Porto/Mogno/Musgo Real creams absolutely rule. No need to screw with a bowl either.

10/10 today.

Another great shave with the Stainless R41.

Loving these Myrsol soaps. Not sure how much I still like this scent though. My sense of smell has changed. This white floral note smells more like ammonia to me than Jasmine. Oh well. I have lots of myrsol stuff. I'm sure my sense of smell will change back.

This brush rocks. Classic mid century modern look. Great gelled shoat boar knot.

9/10 because I dropped the shower head and just about broke the shower door. Woke up the whole family. Ruined my mojo. Plus, I don't like this scent right now at all.

Man. I had high hopes for this shave. It fell flat.

Razor and blade felt like shit. Maybe I don't like the R41.
Myrsol was good, but I think I like the name and look of "plastic" more than the scent.
The high point was my Behold the Whatsis EDT. Nothing like it.

8/10. Face didn't feel so good afterwards. My mood is under attack today as well.

Man, I have no idea how that happens... you get a few great shaves off a razor and then, it all goes to shit!
That Darwin clone is a perfect example.

Man you guys. I shaved completely; took a new position in compliance and safety, driving tankers and HazMat; gotta be clean shaven if I’m driving chlorine and something bad happens because the mask has to seal.

Haven’t seen my chin in 25+ years. Completely forgot how to shave it, just been doing cheeks and under my neck this whole time. Holy fuck my chin is a nightmare, seems like each hair grows in a completely different direction.

Wasn’t stupid with it though; went 70th and Sabre; zero cuts. Took like 15 minutes longer than normal though.

P texted a bunch of family/friends and they all cracked up; said I looked 25 and it’s sort of true. One of the reasons I grew a beard was because I kept getting ID’d for things I was old enough to buy decades ago.

Baby face is still under there.

Cons: no more beard, and I kind of look like a pussy without one.

Pros: I’m gonna go thru so much fuckin soap it’s gonna be unbelievable.

My chin is tough too. The “j hook” was a game changer technique that helped solve my chin stubble.
