Any Snow For You Guys?

Post by linthat22 »

Just curious if anyone got anything from the supposed Winter Storm here up north over the weekend? We managed to get 4-5", but we were hoping for the 1' they were predicting.

Nothing this go-round, though we're expecting to get hit again late this week.

God damn do I hate fucking snow. Some ass-pipe was launching into a rant in the grocery store a while back babbling about how "nobody really hates snow. They just hate the cold that comes with it."

MOTHERFUCKER! Anybody that isn't some panzy ass fruitard that lies on his couch eating bon-bons and sucking down beer like it was coming from mommy's titties and is actually out there shoveling, blowing or pushing snow around DOES FUCKIN' TOO HATE FUCKIN' SNOW. And guess what? It's possible to hate the snow AND hate the cold, you god damned lazy piece of shit.

Then, later that evening, I got really angry about it.

Yeah, we got a few inches the other night, and will likely get more this week. It’s February, and I live in Wisconsin; I’m used to this. I just don’t like driving on the interstate in it. Or working in it; my crew just destroyed two pallet banders because of the snow.

Actually yes we did, and I live in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Last week we got hit by a storm, people who live about 10 miles from my work were getting flurries. Usually melts before it hits the ground .
Up north, as little as 45 minutes away saw plenty of snow

That storm hit us last week and was pretty brutal, but it wouldn't be much for states that are used to it. We got a ton of hail here at sea level.

Just 30 minutes east of San Diego, on my way to a jam session...

Got smoked here in Long Island. Like 16" I'm guessing. Shoveled twice and that's not enough.

Good thing I've been jogging and doing push ups!

Yeah it's been snowing nonstop for the last 24 hours.

This was taken 7 hours ago and we were at 6 inches, it hasn't stopped since.

Man, so jealous of you guys! I had to break out the snow blower for the driveway and thought how much gas I'd go through if we were getting the amounts y'all are.

We got 1-3" of wet, heavy snow. Then it switched to rain. Supposed to get a good bit of rain Friday. So it'll be washed away and gone.

Pulling up my customer’s driveway this morning. Don’t know actual snowfall. Nothing too crazy for Chicago area but definitely sumthin. About 9-10 years ago we got a blizzard that was like 32 inches or some nonsense. So yeah, once you’ve been they that a time or two, as long as it’s not that!! It’s generally just a day or two before roads and parking lots are mainly cleared. So it’s not some big interruption.

Now actually in the city of Chicago it’s sucks balls. But I moved away from city a long time ago and as I get older I hate almost all aspects of the city anyway so I’m Not out dealing with that bullshit. Especially during the winter. We got a few areas where I still see street only parking and get remimdwd of how all The streets out there are and it’s just ain’t worth it if you have a car or have to work as a contractor out there. I did it for 3 years and would never do it again. Lol.

But a plowed driveway?? Now that’s no problem

We actually got a sprinkling of snow on one of our local sunny southern California beaches the other day.

We're out here braving the cold sands at dawn...

It finally stopped. We got 3ft total here, I'm up by the Pocono mountains so it's the worst. Fuck me. I just spent 3 1/2 hours clearing my driveaway, stairs, porches etc...
I also just called a real estate agent to put the house up for sale. I am done with this bullshit. Moving a bit South of the state soon. I don't mind snow but up here (NE PA) is just too much.

 I am moving, but not because of the storm lol. Although it didn't help.

But main reason is we want to be closer to MD because that's where Kimmi's family is.

i normally don't, but i actually had to do some shoveling because i was having a 75" TV delivered, and my mom was coming over.

first requirement for my present house - flat yard, flat driveway. i learned that pretty quick with my first house.

with AWD cars and snow tires, i don't need to waste my time shoveling. mailman cuts though the yard anyway, so its not like i'm inconveniencing him by not doing the walkway, either.

What area you moving too?

We haven't decided yet but we're looking at some areas in a 100 miles radius from MD/DC area since that's where Kimmi's family is and also where we play most of our shows etc.... Harrisburg is a possibility. Gettysburg too... we are also looking at some parts of DE (Wilmington, Newark). First step will be selling the house, then we will spent a few months with Kimmi's mom and look around.
