I've been playing for 21 years now and have played countless shows and yet I still always feel like "shy beginner" any time I get into a guitar store.

Oh, man, flashbacks. I swear Musician's Friend was all "Enter Sandman" all the time and that was the late 90's.

Same.

Same, but it's been 40 years for me, and it's only like half the time. I can't figure that out.

I'm usually fine noodling in a guitar store until some dumbass I don't know decides to play along with me. Then I get totally thrown off my game and look like a n00blet that's never played with anybody ever. Despite ten years in orchestras and several more outside of that in small-time nobody metal bands. Apparently I need to know it's coming or my jitters get the best of me.

Like, I legit failed playing the Fade to Black intro when some noodling idiot started doing the lead bit. My fingers just went, "nope, fuck you, loser." And I've probably played that seven hundred times over the years.
