So Devin is doing a thing now. Listening to the City episode right now then moving backward to Ocean Machine Very soothing to listen to; despite the rager of an album in question
I believe he has only done Ocean Machine and City. But is slated to go through the rest. Which is an awesome respite, and listen; vs. watching depressing YT coronavirus newsfeeds all day long.
And as I listen to this, while Devin talks about Fear Factory and first hearing Destroy Erase Improve and all the old Century Media shit; and remember people bitching about how metal was "dead" in the 90s and just shaking my head in retrospect. Yes Bang Tango and Slaughter and all that garbage went to shit. Good riddance. Some amazing stuff came out in the 90s.
Man these are so fucking good. I put on the Ocean Machine episode yesterday and I was so enthralled I listened to the entire episode as well as the entire City episode. Can't fuckin wait for Infinity

I'm listening to Ocean Machine now. He is talking about idolizing the Black Album and I am very surprised yet not surprised. I LOATHE that album but I can see, sonically; how you would want to cop it's vibe for something like Ocean Machine.
Just listened to the Alien podcast. Devin is the Bob Ross of extreme music. He talks for ~2 hours about how doesn't want to talk about the album. While not really every talking much about the album Somehow I still listen to them because, well; Devin
I know not much about Devy except that he has incredible vocals and some DTP stuff I heard was great. He's an awesome dude. I listened to most of the OP podcast and then threw on SYL - detox. As a fan of Fear Factory Demanufacturer I heard the roots of what he was describing. Wow. What an under the radar band. I have a road trip this weekend and will listen to more SYL.

I saw the video for Detox on a Century Media comp VHS tape back in like, 97-98? I was floored immediately. Gene Hoglan was what drew me to it initially but once I just sat back and had my scalp peeled back; I was hooked
