All Them Witches

Post by spawnofthesith »

Anyone else listen to these guys? They’re by far one of my favorite bands putting stuff out these days. Sometimes lumped in the stoner category, but they definitely have something special and unique going on.

I enjoy listening to their live material the most

Also seem like down to earth chill dudes with kick ass gear

Great band, I think I learned about these guys here on GGF. 9 times outta 10 a good song will pop up in my playlist and I'll be like "this is good, who is this?" Usually All Them Witches...

Fucking love them. Definitely one of my favorite current bands. New record coming in September I think. I caught them live last year too and then put on a hell of a show. Fuck yeah.

(And if you like ATW you might want to check out King Buffalo too. They’re in kind of a similar vein and Ben McLeod from ATW produced their last LP “Longing to be the Mountain“ and played some guitar on it too. Orion is also a killer record of theirs. Well worth a listen.)

Man I’m dying to see them live. Hoping they come through Colorado soon after tours are a thing. We had plans to go to a festival out East they were scheduled this summer but obviously that’s not happening

I’ll have to check out king buffalo.

I’m pretty bummed Rhodes guy is no longer in the band but they seem to still be holding it down well

Hah yeah I was bummed when he left too but I feel like they’ve really adapted to him being gone. While I loved his parts and the flavor he added they still sound like themselves with him gone so it hasn’t impacted the sound (IMO) that much.

Saw them open for Mastodon and Primus @ Red Rocks back in 2018. Enjoyed their set, need to revisit the albums...

Wait.. WHAT????

I live 20 minutes from RR and go to a dozen+ shows per season, and am usually pretty privy to the schedule. Not sure how I missed hearing about that one. I hate myself

Not my favorite of the new tracks they released so far, but still enjoyable

I liked the acoustic number they dropped a couple weeks ago

Edit: I’m not sure I’m talking about the right band. :(

But no, I haven’t tried the pedal.

I think I was actually talking about the band windhand. I got confused since they both had signature suf pedals.

I accidentally said something negative about all them witches when o could have been wrong.

Oh good, I can deal with hearing negative things about Windhand but ATW is too special to me

I wasn't able to really listen until pretty late this afternoon. On my second repeat right now. I definitely like it but time will tell how much. The self-titled album for instance took a while to grow on me. I definitely liked it at first but at this point it's now one of my favorite albums of theirs so we will see how NATI eventually stacks up. Neither here nor there but Lightning at the Door will always be my favorite.
