and it probably costs less too.. I miss some aspects of living in SoCal (mostly my friends) but the cost of living is not one of them. I always knew it was expensive to live there but when I moved out I realized how ridiculous it actually is.

I was in a much smaller house up until three years ago. Went from 1300 square feet to 2400 I think is what my current home is. I love being able to park in a garage

That's okay, I had enough of the "taking care of a house" lifestyle. It was like 2400 sq ft, but I didn't have a mancave, because there was no basement, so, honestly, I'm really not missing much in the way of real, usable space and lifestyle, and I'm not spending homeowner money anymore either.
