The Official Thrift, Antique & Yardsale Finds Thread

Finding cool random stuff for low or medium prices can be some fun cheap entertainment!

This is the place to show and tell your cool goodies, what you paid and what you think they might be worth if applicable.
My little collection of stuff is small, just a fun little side hobby, and includes old tools, fishing stuff, music related stuff, and a little sports related stuff. The wife is into old Pyrex (goes back over 100 years) & other old kitchenware, paper & ephemera including WWII era magazines, ad material, old cookbooks, and items related to Florida history.

Here's a cool little piece I found today for $20. Probably worth $40-$60. The price isn't always the point but I also enjoy having items that would generate a little profit should they ever be sold. I'm not familiar with fly gear but learned that this reel has an automatic retrieve lever. It self winds retrieve tension as you pull out the line and can also be manually wound as needed. Still works and still has the box!

And here's a WWII era first aid kit that we found last year at the only estate sale I've ever been to. 10 bucks. Kinda hard to value. With it's contents anywhere between $50-$150 While not the most unique, it's one of our favorite items.

In 1988 I bought a black, American made Schecter Pete Townshend model at a police auction for $60. I wish I still had that guitar.

Around 20 years ago. I had to fix it. Screen resistor(s) and 2 new tubes. Sold it on the Ebay for 450.00. LOUD MF. Very clean sounding amp
