Universal Studios Orlando opens back up today
They’re doing limited capacity for season pass holders only and you have to make reservations. The wife and I are going tomorrow as part of our 15th anniversary day. They check your temp on the way in and masks are required unless you’re eating. They’re also doing virtual queues for all the rides to keep the physical lines as short as possible. Should be interesting!

Thanks!
I thought they were doing 50% capacity but some say it’s more like 10%.

Honestly, 10% capacity sounds good.
Years ago I went to Disneyland with my son and we spent more time waiting in lines than on actual rides.

yeah.. that's the worst.... I remember going to Universal Halloween Horror Nights with the Mrs a few years back and the first haunted house took us almost 90 minutes in line..... I remember getting out of the house and hearing an announcement that at 10pm fast passes will be 50% off, it was 930... so I waiting the 30 minutes and bought the two fast passes, so much better lol
Another year we were at Busch Gardens in December and it was like a ghost town.... the walk from ride to ride was longer than the wait in line.... that was awesome..... lol

My favorite thing about Halloween Horror Nights is that the wait for the rides is really short because everyone is stacked up for the houses. I don’t even care much about the houses tbh. To me the scare zones are cooler anyway with all the funky costuming, fog machines, characters on stilts etc. Feels like you’re walking through an apocalyptic battle zone where as the houses are just turn a corner, jump scare, turn a corner, jump scare and repeat.

yeahhhhhhh.... the last time we went by the 3rd house I was over it, just became the same thing over and over again. BUT I had a blast distracting my wife and friends in the scare zones allowing the different people to sneak up on them and scare the fuck outta them lol.... definitely the best part of the night.....
as for the rides... I had done the Rip Ride Rockit a few times before, in the day like normal.... but man, the last time we went we got to ride it at midnight in the front row, holy shit that was a rush like I've never had before on a roller coaster.... maybe second to the first time I went on Sheikra at Busch Gardens..... I remember being in Islands of Adventure the next day and every ride was like meh, this is so tame compared to last night lol....

I remember going in 1974 in February standing in lines and it was hot as hell that day. Hell, they were building Space Mountain LOL

We’re not even to the parking lot yet but using the app we already got into a virtual queue for a ride. It won’t let you until you’re close enough to the park but it’s cool being “in line” before you even enter.

Yeah it's like "how's the haunted house?"

Re: Universal Studios Orlando opens back up today
Well it mostly sucked because it rained all fucking day starting from the moment we walked in the front gate. The park was totally on top of the situation and took really great measures but the weather was like fuck you. We rode 3 indoor rides and left. And in this climate ponchos prevent rain wetness but promote sweat wetness. Blech. Had it been a dryer day it would have fucking rocked.
