Time to shut it down.

Re: The world descends into madness...
Give the cop the death penalty. Just some Executive order by Trump. I doubt it’s even possible, but if it were, that’s what I would do. It’ll give the pound of flesh the blacks believe they want, it’ll put cops on fucking notice and it can be accomplished rather quickly.

Re: The world descends into madness...
Curious how many of you this is hitting directly.
Having been only 8 years old and living in rural Indiana the 92 riots did not reach me in any real way.
Living where I live in Chicago the shit truly hit the fan for me this time. Actually witnessed looting and destruction in real time where I live and hang out.
I mean it was mostly larger retailers that I don't visit but it still broke my heart to see whats been my home for a number of years destroyed in that way. I've never felt or seen lawlessness like this ever.
It was sureal driving to work yesterday to see so many busted out store fronts of all kinds with glass still on the sidewalk and little clean up. On the way home most storefronts had boarded up the windows, I even saw a couple interesting signs on places like "this is a home" on a place that looked like a business but had frosted out windows and "black owned business" on another.
Last night I hardly slept. I read reports online of plans to "burn down west town" which borders my neighborhood. One of my friends who lives in Ukranian Village (part of West Town) got a call from his landlord to check the alley for gas cans because he had heard reports of this around the area. Doesn't seem like this was credible now but I sure didn't sleep and literally made regular checks around my building. Being that I'm hoping to sell my condo soon this made for a long evening to say the least. Also it was nonstop sirens and all kinds of cracks and booms throughout the night despite being more calm than previous evenings (its not like looted places are getting restocked).
Pretty crazy and the most nervous I've ever been after living in Chicago for years at this point.

I misunderstood, thought you were asking "who would you vote for if election was held today?"
We've got early voting and I have a lot of faith that the state would mobilize to protect the voting here in IL considering how much both our mayor and governor beef with Trump on the regular.

and rubato - not sure how I am part of the problem.
96% of Americans are cin agreement that the officer was completely in the wrong.
I haven't been inciting riots, looting, nor am I morally bankrupt police officer.
I am all for shutting this crap down NOW though - with whatever (minimalest possible) level of force it requires.
This bullshit has to stop before we don't even have cities left anymore.
These mayors saying they don't want any National Guard in their cities, while they are being looted and burned need to get a backbone.
They need to stop pandering.
