The silver lining with this whole virus thing:

I can drink every day.

+

My wife is drinking almost as often as I am.

She hardly ever drinks since the kids were born. Having her drink lightens my mood quite a bit, actually.

I'm working from home while having to homeschool these 5 financial burdens.

Everyday is the weekend in the pandemic apocalypse. Me drinking keeps my family alive right now.

Doinking is about the un-sexiest word you could attribute to the activity

Also; mojo sent to Mike in attempting said activity with five 4 year olds at home   :D

It's ok. I've been having a lot of fun scaring them about the end of the world. During out "PE" time I had them jog a mile with me. The older ones asked "Why do we have to run a mile?" my answer...

"Well Barter Slaves #1 and #2, let me ask YOU something... What's the first rule of Zombieland....?"

I've been attempting to limit it to every other day at most along with limiting quantities during that time.
Turns out I'm pretty good at bending the shit out of my own rules and turning the "2 drink max" on weeknights into 2 8% abv DIPA tall boys or 2 (unmeasured) pours of scotch.

I started actually making sure I 'm getting daily direct sunlight. Walking the dog and shit. It's still such a strange and uncomfortable change of habits altogether.

Was at the store buying things when everything first got crazy. One of the items on the shopping list was White Claw.
Went to the alcohol area and there wasn't a ton left but the funny thing is ALL the seltzers were 100% gone. White Claw, Truly, etc all completely empty except one brand.

There were a TON of them. Stacked up fully and truly towering over the other the empty shelves beside them. I couldn't help but laugh. People are weird.

They basically no different the LaCroix. I like them because they go down easy, don't bloat me like beers, and don't leave me with hangovers like most liquor or wine does.

Mango and Watermelon are my faves. I know a lot of people hate on them but I don't care. My goal is to get drunk not fat, they serve this purpose decently.

I haven't drank since 2017. I was drinking so much in Vegas I got sick of it literally and figuratively. Not sure if I won't ever do it again, but right now I have no desire...
