Acoustic pieces by metal bands

Post by JiveTurkey »

Started to derail EndTime's thread. I'm putting this here

I love metal. I am always fascinated when the "heavier" bands of the spectrum craft acoustic interludes/instrumentals/tracks within the the rest of their albums. Which are usually bombastic, precise, ungodly fast and or heavy. Or all of the above. Here are a few cool ones. including the one that started the derail in question :D

First off, feel free to ALWAYS derail my thread. I like it better that way. We can talk about other shit to keep a thread going! The clip is still in there!! Hahah

I’ll post some when I have better internet connection as I can barely load these pages for some reason. But who was better than Iommi in this regard? Guy wrote some awesome acoustic and clean guitar pieces and songs. I know it’s still electric guitar but what’s better than Planet Caravan? Latina Sunrise, Orchid, Fluff even. Used to not like that one. And he’s got a few
More that were great too

I'm sort of having trouble keeping my thinking too restricted with the criteria I set; but this one is a good one too

This one goes back and forth between acoustic and br00talz, but I've always loved this song

Entire songs are tough. But parts or intros I like.

Obviously Dee from Randy

But I also always loved the opening to Killer of Giants. I actually know hat one too!!
Haha

Metallica, but not fade to Black or Nothing else matters (where’s the puke emoticon?) but to Live is to Die. Hey, I know that acoustic part too! I guess I’m seeing a pattern here.

I was trying to remember the Death song that is a ripper but has the little flamenco solo towards the end. Took me a sec as I was drawing a blank.

This one might be a little too air raid siren for you, vocally; but I have always dug them
