I just received the Terror, and the Diamond. Since I have an open bottle of the latter, I’m keeping this one sealed. The Terror, though, is one I had to try. Just a dab on the cheek. The possibilities for pranks are ENDLESS.

Great one today. I love everything oleo makes. I also love myrsol.

The dart was great. The lord new platinum was kind of iffy, but not a deal breaker.

I have it a 10/10 because I had the time to make this blade work.

Fuck the beard....I made it 4 days and had to dump it.

I smell like a Virgin Island Water campfire and that's awesome.

Timeless/Gillette Platinum mowed 4 days down like it was nothing in just 2 passes. No buffing needed.

random Sunday night shave to try out some gear:
Image
This GD lime is the suckiest GD I've used. Here's why. It had beads of rancidity after one use, and I'm really good about drying my soaps out before storage. Then, on top of that, the lime scent burned me. Welp. bummer
The mamba 53 = something I'm not sure I can ever go back to. It's just too mild.
The mamba 70 = seemed good last night. alright I guess.
Roam = fucking epic. I love it. It really morphs to a more grassy scent when you lay into it and soak yourself.

6/10.

Today's SOTD:
Image
GD Veritas = absolutely luxurious and beautiful. Everything about it is transcendent.
Mamba 70 = frustrating. too mild. too much buffing. bullshit. I hate mild razors now.
AP shave angel brush = I love it.
BM Reserve Classic = my go to. Amazing.
9/10 because of the stupid Mamba70.

Agreed; it’s lower than it photographs but still.

How long you think it’d take you to get through yours?

Keep in mind I’m only shaving cheeks/neck cause mustache/beard.

Well, I need to look at the Rustic one again, but the Formula T doesn't seem very hard to me. I can't imagine it taking more than 60 shaves to cash? Maybe less.

That said, I haven't cashed anything in a long time. I have no idea how I was able to shave in a rut for so long. I was actually FINISHING! hard pucks of Fine.

BTW, 2 things:

1. I'm getting zits on my neck. I need to lay off the ultra fancy good post shave SOap shit. I feel like cheap Italian Soft soap was the pinnacle of my shaving success.

2. Did I send a bunch of Myrsol Aftershave samples to someone? I'm wondering if I like the F/Extra.

Wasn’t me, haven’t tried Myrsol as of yet.

Cheap Italian meaning all the TFS stuff or something else?

Yep. Especially the simpler ones without a bunch of exotic oils added. (classic red, Rasozero Lemon, etc)

And of course, the almighty Uncle Walter.

No Myrsol on my shelves either. But, I've been meaning to get some!

Since 2012 (when I started DE shaving) I emptied out:
- one Nancy Boy Signature
- one Michael's Wool Fat
- one 5 oz tube of Poraso
- three or four pucks of Burt's Bees Bay Rum soap - loved that shit!!!
- one tub of Michael's Naturals Bay Rum soap (it was excellent)
- one puck of Van Der Hagen

Lately, I've been rotating through my soaps, one each day and when I go through them all, I start over.

Nice!

It’d take me over a month to rotate everything and start over. Gene could probs do a year lol

meh. I'm starting to not like my beloved M53 OG handle. :( It just feels ultra heavy. I can't believe how it(the handle) changes the feel of the razor.
Kind of hungover. Blade was kind of toast. Soap was kind of boring. Aftershave was pretty good.
completely underwhelming shave.

Ikon, TNS, G Plat, soap and AS all kicked ass.

9/10 cause my fuckin back is out and it hurts to stand up lol

100 Gillette Platinums in OH and coming soon.

P on her way back from Egypt, layover in Paris and she's going to look for some more MdC for me.

Think I'm gonna order the Blackbird sometime next couple days too; I'm just REALLY undecided because I know I'm gonna hate the handle, and don't know if it's gonna be viable long term using one of my stubbies. Be fantastic if I can find one used that has the 70mm handle, I know I could use that one at least, but I'm finding I really don't like using anything longer than that.

Greatest shave of my entire life.

Image

Oh my. It was just perfect. The Blackbird is picking razors off left and right.

The SV 70th puts me into a euphoric dream like state. It takes me back to something.

The Grail Bowl is totally unnecessary, but it makes the picture look cool.

The Prada Luna Rossa smelled like Black Licorice and lemon. Beautiful.

Got a BBS in 1.5 passes, and I smell like I'm driving a Ferrari.

Oh, and my Grizzly Bay was the shit! Awesome! Compact and wide. 30mm of SHD goodness.
