Good afternoon,
In anticipation of the move, I decided that I would finish as many projects as possible. The Ibanez, the Hohner B2, and I’m making good progress on the Peavey. Yeah, the scratch build is on hold, but I will have the template done pretty soon. What I also have, amongst the ruins, is a 25-year-old Jazz Bass neck. Not Fender, but really nice, all the same. Fretless, ebony, the works. But no body.
As of two minutes ago, I own two separate halves of one bass. And it will be good with an Ampeg SVT-II; they all are.
I’ll post pics of the assembled bass, which should be a week from Sunday, at best.

Strings are conspicuous by their absence; this was due to the fact that, having just returned from Florida, I had absolutely no desire to go anywhere else yesterday. I picked up a set of nylon Tapewound D’Addarios this morning, but, because I immediately set off for Milwaukee, I did not have an opportunity to string up my bass. If I don’t have any apartment showings this weekend, I’ll do just that. Otherwise, I’ll be in Madison, and can wait until Monday.
