Heartbreaker solo is one of the most iconic guitar solos of all rock n roll. Putting it into historic context helps. That said I have jammed with Rubato and I know for a fact he could easily play the Heartbreaker solo - and I mean lets be honest - it's not hard to play in todays context. But if you were 14 years old when it came out and never heard licks like that? Well that might be a different story. ;) That doesn't mean they're not fucking incredible solos. Dude was breaking new ground and every one at the time knew it.

There is nothing bad about this solo. In fact it's one of my favorite solos of all time. Some tasty, bluesy licks in that solo and really melodic. It's like an Industrial Pink Floyd solo. :idk:

That solo bugs me less and less as I've gotten odler, but I knew that I'd be poking the bear with Heartbreaker so it was obligatory.

Not gonna lie, I enjoyed that solo break. Had a Slayer vibe while still fitting to the song.

I have grown to appreciate it over the years, but when I first heard it as a "guitar player" I was definitely like "wtf is going on here?"
