7 O’Clock Blacks work pretty great in the Karve, gonna try one in the Timeless tomorrow.

Side note, you were right. P loves Behold The Whatsis, dude.

I told my brother about the shaving thing. The cost, the plastic, the merriment, the peanut, the Patrick. He seemed to get it. Do I think he’ll make the switch? Doubtful. My mother also seemed to understand my logic, adding that she vividly remembers the razor my grandfather used. I told her that I probably have that same model Gillette (mine is from 1963). My sixteen-year-old nephew wasn’t around, so no proselytizing. My dad insisted that he gets a less irritated shave with a Mach 3. He did respect my argument about the reduction in plastic consumption, though.

My nephew is getting a SLOC, three sleeves of yellows, and two tubes of Cremo for Christmas. I’m too damn cheap to buy him Air Jordan Retro 7s.

Prelude, damn. I sent some cool stuff. You’ve got a lot to work with there. I think you’ll like the mikes soap. There are some really good blades in there too.

Great shave. Australian private reserve soaps sure are impressive.

This razor is even better with a new blade. Wow. Just great!

This super soft brush was perfect for this super soft soap.

The Phoenix aftershave burned for some reason. Not badly though.

Overall, 9/10. Got a pair of unexpected weepers.

How do I work the Derby stick thing there?
It's just a stick of soap, the scent is intriguing, but not sure how to go about using it.

To use stick soaps, you wet your beard and rub the stick on your face the same way you put Chapstick on your lips.
Then, you wet a brush and develop a lather right on your face... easy peasy! :thu:

First time using the 1930's French made, Leresch old style, open comb so, it seemed appropriate to use the Pre de Provence soap.
The Pre de Provence has a decent scent but, not as slick as it should be.
The Leresch is a bit more agro than the SLOC and really plows down the stubble - it's a keeper!
I like these Zyletec Super Iridiums better than the Polsilver Super Iridiums... pretty sure they're both made in St. Petersberg.

Don’t be afraid to rub the side of the stick on your face. You’ll get more surface area leaving soap on your face.

Shave sticks aren’t as intuitive as you think. You might fail once before it works well. That said, Turkish tallow soaps are pretty forgiving. Not waxy like some euro triple milled sticks.

Man I'm glad this week is over. I've cut myself every day since Wednesday, what a bunch of bullshit. I don't know what's up...started with that piece of shit Bic blade, then I tried to stretch the Super Max to 9, then the 7 O'Clock Black bit me I guess cause it was super new and tofuckingDAY.

I was reading last night about a dude complaining about the blade tabs being exposed and thinking "what a stupe. what a MAROON, who cuts themselves on fucking blade tabs?"

Sure enough, I got careless and sliced the fuck out of my face right in front of my ear. WITH A FUCKING BLADE TAB!

Glad this week is over. I'm taking the Gillette out of the Timeless and going back to Derby Premiums in that motherfucker, if I get one cut next week I'm done for the week, I don't care that I have soap coming in, I have blades coming in. My face looks and feels like meat right now.

7/10 for today
4/10 for the week
