Awesome ! I just bought like 18 samples and some Bakelite razors.

Btw, sotd.

Kind of crummy today.
Wunderbar plus yellow = aggressive city. All blade. Hated it.
Tfs divino. Alright but not special. Razor didn’t do it any favors.
Floid suave. The shining star of the day. Awesome. $17 at bullgoose.

7/10 just because I didn’t slash myself.

EVERYTHING AT BARRISTER AND MANN = 20% off.

Code = thanksdad

I haven’t decided if I actually still need anything. Not going to buy Cheshire or Le Grand Chypre until they are available in excelsior.

Not sure I like fougere Gothique enough to spend $72, and still be $3 short of free shipping.

1/4 of the way drunk now....watching shaving videos.

Gat damn these motherfuckers LATHER LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER

I’ve had whole 3 pass shaves that aren’t as long as these guys lathering.

Gene what have you tried from B&M that we haven’t talked about?

Also, has anyone tried the Phoenix Accoutrements Chill Mill?

This thing is like a salt/pepper grinder that busts menthol crystals into whatever soap you’re using for like $15...

Bm:
Cologne russe is killer

Reserve spice is killer

I’m fuckin hooked on the Fougère imperiale AND aromatique. The sample sprayers don’t do them justice. The more I wear these, the more I like them both.

Fwiw, I’ve dissolved menthol crystal into aftershave before. It is evil stuff. A little goes a long way. I tossed my bag of menthol because I don’t like using it, and it looked like crystal meth.

Masterpiece today. Nothing wrong with the glissant base.

Love my blackbirds.

Beaudalaire is such a massive, manly fragrance. I love it.

10/10. Perfection.

Holy fuck Arctique is fucking COLD.

FUCK.

I'm sitting here with tears running down my face, this shit is insane.

I don't know which base Vespers is, but it's awesome. Feels a lot more like Diamond than the Waves, so wouldn't be surprised if it was the Excelsior base.

Another shaving note: I stopped using pressure.....everybody always says 'let the razor do the work' so I started with that...it's not BBS, but hey...no rash or weepers either. DFS pretty much every time, and I'm fuckin OVER trying for BBS every day, it's just not worth it.

Good soap, good blades, good razor, it's 95% there daily, screw it.

Also, ordered Timeless .95, report back. Expecting it to be more like the Karve as far as gap/exposure, which would make this more of a daily driver than the .68 is.

Vespers is excelsior.

Btw, regarding arctique. Anything in that insanity level is torture. Cryogen, snakebite, etc. shoot, wk fern concerto froze my face off with its synthetic menthol.

Straight up, torture. Would be great for a hot summer day knowing it’s coming, but I had no clue.

Glad on the Excelsior, performs excellently. Think you’d dig it, reminds me of the Fern you sent me. Don’t know if it’s enough that it’d burn you. Classy scent, pretty complex.

Fwiw, I already have vespers. It’s a beautiful scent.

Only b&m that ever burned me was seville and fern.

Am I the only one who thinks Adagio finishes a little girly? I slapped some on last night, and when I woke up, my hand smelled like women’s perfume.

I just did a shave with a black platinum - excellent blade - and my vintage Gillette handle. The SLOC is packed in my travel kit, along with the Stupefacente; I splashed B&M Classic tonight, which I really like.

Ha, should have figured.

Went to the shave store this morning and snagged it out of a few that I tried. Didn’t care for the AS though.

Pretty good one today.
Occam's Razor - I really feel kind of meh on this one now. Actually, I'm sort of off the SE bandwagon overall ATM. I like my Rockwell and Blackland DE's too much.
Love my Badger 24 Barrel
Diamond is the shit, but I'm still not convinced Excelsior is better than Glissant. :idk:
Diamond aftershave burned me a bit today, not unlike Behold the Whatsis when I've had a rough shave. I'm starting to wonder if I'm slightly allergic to something in the Deltus base. It's a good thing I have so many legacy products and I like the reserve stuff, because I'm not sure I want to load up on the excelsior/Deltus stuff.

That said, Diamond is just a beautiful scent. Baseball is special to me. It's not just a game. It's what connects Fathers and Sons over generations.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It’s been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again.

Still a great shave.
8/10.

That spicy bite, that Adagio has, kind of reminds me of Poison by Christian Dior....which is definitely girly.
But, girly never crossed my mind when using Adagio.

10/10, nothing wrong here....used a less than heroic amount of Arctique, totally manageable today. Loved all of this.

Didn’t see it last time; I know they have the soap but wasn’t looking for the AS.

Let you know!
