Added a little EQ because I thought there was too much low end going on...

Sounds pretty damn good to me. I'd say you could hang with Exafro, bro.

WOrd?!?! Thank yoU!! I REALLY dig his clips and his skillz, so that is a HUGE compliment to me. Wow!!

The monitors really brought some issues in my stuff to light that I wasnt hearing with just my headphones. I ended up blending sm57 and md421 IRs on each side, and I added a track down the center thats a room IR, which sounds REAL shitty on its own, but kinda brings the guitars together and out. Been an interesting few hours of experimentation!!

Getting better dude. I dont know if you have any bass on this track but I would add some low end. There are some harsh frequencies going on in the high end. I would cut a little around the 2k area. I read one of the most helpful recording tips there other day where they said the frequencies in the 2k area are very harsh on the ear and very fatiguing over extended periods of time. After experimenting a bit I have to agree.

Here is a mix test I just threw together a couple of minutes ago. I still need to do some tweaking but I think Im headed in the right direction. Let me know what you think.

Sounds a bit out of time to me dude....the guitars sound pretty decent though. I'm with whoever said throw some bass in there...bass brings the heavy.

Thanks guys!! Yeah, no bass on the track. I didn't add any because the midi track is messed up and it's throwing off the time feel. So I just did the guitars.

I actually watched a video a couple weeks ago about cutting the 2k frequency. Right now, there is a 6 db cut on the 2k stuff...ill play around with it some more tomorrow and see what's up. Also, I did take out a lot of bass intentionall to get an idea of the sit in a mix guitar tone. May e ill add some bass just to see.

Seriously, I thought it sounded great and I am not just blowing smoke...First thing that came to my mind was Exafro's recordings.
