This week is draggin

Post by _ej_ »

Parts for my personal guitar build have been trickling in all week.

Body and neck arrive on Friday, thinking of calling out of work.

Seeing Captain Marvel in IMAX on friday. Its my first IMAX movie and I'm not sure why but I'm super excited.

The weeks draggin, hows your week?

Need warmer weather, for sure. Upper management is coming down hard in our department this week. I'm trying out another side gig but I'm pretty sure it will stretch me a little thin considering I just started going back to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Finding myself wanting more hours in the day.

Took the last couple weeks off. Been writing a bunch of music, recording. I had a partial tear in my rotator cuff which has been bugging me for near 3 months now, but it's been slightly on the mend of late. So, I started hitting the gym regularly again. Of course, made it more sore again. Lol. But still feels good to hit the gym in the mornings. I usually come home, eat, have a little more caffeine and straight to jamming and working on music. I honestly prefer mornings for most of my music since I'm usually pretty jacked up energy wise..

Next 2 weeks i have a huge job for work. I'll Make a decent pocket full of change, then I'm taking the week off after that too.. haha. It don't suck to be my own boss

Wait, I thought those were SPAGHETTI WESTERNS - aka filmed in Italy. Mind blown! Thanks Brian.

I love Spain, and Zaragoza is a killer town. Bullfighting ring in the center of town, Roman ruins, Muslim architecture, plazas everywhere, tapas bars in every alley. Was pretty insanely warm there last week, so everyone was out enjoying it. Sigh...

Oh, man! That dried ham looks amazing!!!!
Funny how graffiti is so universal and such an ancient tradition!

For the longest time, I thought Spaghetti Westerns were filmed in Italy too!
Sergio Leone, the director of many Spaghetti Westerns, was Italian and I believe, so was the production company that made them. Ennio Morricone, the man who wrote all that bad ass music, was also Italian.
Just in case anyone missed my post from a few days ago... here's the theme from TGTB&TU and the song, The Extasy of the Gold...

Thankfully, my week has been moving pretty good. I'm transitioning out of the fraud space I've been in for awhile and into procurement, so these half days of training are making my days fly by. Sorry to hear about the slow week for ya'll.
