Oh, man... he was my favorite Monkee... sucks.
Mike Nesmith and Mickey Dolenz are currently touring. They'll be in my area next month.... may have to go.

RIP.

I got to see them once, back in the mid ‘80s.

Weird Al opened for them.

My first big rock concert, lol.

Both acts put on an AMAZING show, though! :cop:

Man that sucks. LOVED the Monkee's when I was a kid. Still rock a few jams to be honest.

I watched the show growing up. It was cheesy, but fun. The back stories on who wrote the songs, the studio musicians involved, etc. is pretty interesting.

I've always wanted a Gretsch 6123 "Monkees" guitar - just haven't been able to find one at a reasonable price. Guessing that will be even harder now...

I don't know if it was a recent episode, but I saw one of those on American Pickers or whatever that history channel show is called. It was in bad shape and I think their guy valued it around $1500. Over 3k in good condition IIRC.

Definitely grew up watching the show. It was a part of the shows I'd consider shaped my youth TV viewing. Along with Batman, The Munsters, Addams Family, Get Smart, Sanford and Son, etc.., .

So That's about all I got concerning Peter Tork. But I do remember liking when the show would come on. So RIP dude

Yep. While I don't watch much TV anymore, back then it was all we had

I'll throw in The Electric Company, Starblazers, Force Five, Spider Man, Creature Double Feature, All In The Family, Brady Bunch, Flipper.....

There are just way too many to list.

Oh yeah, Starsky and Hutch!

There's an episode of Mannix where they used the Brady Bunch set. I think a young Linda Evans guest starred.

All in the Family I watched, but I think I was a bit too young at really understanding the messages of the show. I pretty just liked when Archie called Edith a Dingbat, or the son in law a Meathead. Lol. Certainly Brady Bunch is there. I also forgot Good Times, What's Happenin, Diff'rent Strokes.. Yeah, when all you had was the 7 channels I think. Even less for kids, cause I rarely liked what was on the main channels. CBS, NBC, ABC. We had the local channels WGN and the other one I can't remember and Fox that would play all these shows in the morning. So, you basically had to watch whatever was there's. If I didn't like it you went and played outside or for myself, I'd just invent some game and play by myself while my parents watched what they wanted. Lol

Same here. Watching tv got old pretty quick because there was so much fun stuff to do outside, like breaking into abandoned houses and starting pine trees on fire. Those were the days.......

And I thought I was so clever because I was the one kid who never got caught.

Then I got old, bought a house, and had to deal with the neighborhood hellspawn doing a lot of the same stuff I did.
