SOTD:

Killer. I'm glad I gave the TFS Rasozero another shot. Now I regret PIffing my Spiffero. I want to try it again. This soap lathers frothy at first, but if you keep working it for 5-10 more seconds, it really comes into its own. It feels thick and stiff like canned foam, but without the gas, and with more water. This lemon scent is great. It doesn't burn me. And it goes perfectly with Uncle Walt.
Also, I finally unchickened myself, and used my baby smooth with a blade other than my red personna. I used a Super Max Blue Diamond. Damn. I may have found my 4 for 4 March setup. We'll see. I'm still nervous about that challenge.

BTW, the New Hawk V2 is identical to my old blue Hawk V2. Just thought you'd like to know.

So, I shaved too much, and now I have this rash between my mouth and chin. I look like an std person.
I think it's from retesting soaps on my face at work to see if they are really burning me. This is a good method since i don't have to tough out the whole shave in a race with chemicals burning my face.
I think I burned my face with Barrister and Mann Seville. It's a confirmed burn now.

Did that last week; I really only need to shave maybe 2-3 times a week, but all this stuff came in for bday, package from you etc...same shit happened to me.
Added to which my wife has cats, and I’m allergic. Doing that, then touching the cats and then my face? I looked like a volcano hit the sides of my neck...

Hawk showed, solid as fuck. For some reason I thought it’d come with blades, but nope. Gotta grab some.
Sni Mato showed as well; not a great scent right out of the tub but we’ll see.

SOTD:

Wilkinson, Baby Smooth, Badger brush, Sni Mato....Gene, this stuff is coming right to you if no one else wants it. I hate the smell, it seriously stunk up my whole bathroom...smells like old Play-Doh to me.
Got aggressive with the BS and shouldn't have, rashed the fuck out of the right side of my face.
Caveat: I used this soap about an hour after I got it out of the mailbox; it feels slightly frozen, so I'll give it a shot again later this weekend after it thaws I guess? After that, if it's the same deal it's up for grabs.

SOTD:
Hello, old friends. After yesterday's face breakout, I went back to my "rut puck", Fine (in this case lavender). I 3017'ed 2 fine pucks in a row back in 2016/2017. I was happily in a rut. I didn't have any zitty/rashy shit on my face, so it's time for a change. Maybe, the new artisan stuff is too greasy for my face. Oh well, this was a great shave. The Mamba 70 may be my March 4for4. The Super Max Blue Diamond Titanium seemed really good. This Razorock brush is great for the deep personalized mug.
I'm also planning on 3017'ing some aftershaves, including this Nivea splash I got in Italy.

I'm thinking it's been in a warehouse for a while, since I'm not really detecting any scent other than the raw soap ingredients. FWIW, I'm okay with that. It lathered up nicely, and didn't burn me.

Got to try out the new RazoRock Black Hawk SE - very nice!!! I know that wet stubble dries shorter and I shouldn't go for the BBS feel while shaving but, I OCD'd and got a bit of razor burn. I'll never learn.
Gene, I know you don't like Cella but, for a soap, it lathers really well... one of the slickest soaps I've tried... smell wise, it sucks... Uncle Walter smells so much better!!!

Re: Gillette
Dude, I love every SOTD pic in the world. That Hawk looks so damned hot. Single Edges in general have a leg up, cool-factor, that DE's don't have.
I'm not even sure why I hate Cella. I think P160 just smelled and performed better for me at the time when those were 2 of the 3 almond soft soaps available (valobra is the other). Maybe my Cella was old, but it smelled like a moldy rubber sporting goods store, while my P160 smelled like candy.
What do you think of the Feather Pro Guard? I've used a few, but the Kai Capt Titan Mild Pink is still my end all AC blade.

Re: Gillette
The ProGuard seems to shave really well during the first shave but, when using the Occam's Razor, I had to work at it (to get a good shave) on shave numbers two and three.
Since, this is my first pack of SE blades, I really can't compare them to anything else.
I'll definitely won't be reordering ProGuards.
The Black Hawk is a bit more aggressive than the Ocam's Razor. Occam's holds the blade loosely while, there's no play with the Black Hawk.
Cella needs to up the scent... smells like cup cake icing and lard to me.

Back to the Teck and Unc Walter.....even though I showered this morning, felt like I couldn't get that DG out of my nose; didn't need to shave, but needed to smell like UW, so came home early and got it done. Super Chromes are nice, but I'm still digging the Personna Platinums.
Thinking UW, Personna Ps and either the Teck or Baby Smooth as 3 of my 4 for 4 in March.

I’m not even sure how I’m going to use this wine glass soap.
I shave in the shower. I have no where to put it. Lol. I might have to start shaving at the sink.

Kamisori sampler Saturday

Wow. This artist club straight is scary. I chickened out half way through. It works though. If I had more time, I could do the whole shave with it.
The barrister and Mann lavanille soap sample smells and looks like a shoe polish butt circus. It’s like poop and solvent. It shaves well though.
The barrister and Mann reserve classic aftershave is awesome. I will probably buy some after I 86 some other. bottles
