Happy Thanksgiving...

Post by IndyWS6 »

GGF Bro's :thu: Enjoy the holiday with your families...

Turkey #1 is prepped and going in the oven in about 10 minutes (stuffed with apple and orange slices plus carrots and celery and topped with a homemade "southwest" dry rub). Turkey #2 is going in the rotisserie fryer a little later. Also making: corn casserole, sage stuffing, stuffed mushrooms, veggie tray, shrimp cocktail, etc. The GF is in charge of the deserts. For me, desert = more meat; I'm a dude.
I Love the smell of nitrocellulose in the morning.

My parents took me to a Thanksgiving spread at a German restaurant in Madison. I had a boot of Paulaner; it was splendid. We’ve done this with a larger group, but even the relative intimacy of three adults, it was a delightful lunch. Now, I’ll spend the afternoon digesting, trying to fix my PC, and having another beer or five.

Wish my wife could have been with us on Thanksgiving, but other than that it was good.
Some guys like a challenge. Not me.
