San Diego, here. We can see smoke, but so far we are largely unaffected. All it takes is one POS arsonist though. Its certainly not as bad as it is up in LA and Ventura counties. And those poor guys were just hammered last year by massive wildfires. Here's to hoping that the Santa Ana's to stop and maybe even get a little rain.

Glad to here you guys are OK. Man, they showed footage of Malibu on the news... totally leveled.

Guess who tweeted this: "no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!"

Werd.

My work was closed on Friday, and just got word that it's closed again tomorrow. Three-day weekend turned to five. And wouldn't you know it, I've done nothing productive with all this extra time. The skies are busy with helicopters and planes. Super-scoopers flying in a pair is a regular sight here. The 101 is/was closed from Woodland Hills to Westlake Village. Earlier today, they closed the 118 freeway because of a brief brush fire between the San Fernando Valley and Simi Valley. Talk about L.A. County and Ventura County being cut off.

I'm just glad no one is politicizing a tragic situation where dozens have died and threatened to withhold disaster relief funds to people in need.

That would be really fucked up.

Fire destroys without prejudice, doesn't matter if you're rich or poor. It don't give a fuck. Stay safe hommies, even though the fire may not be a issue, the smoke and air may be unsafe as well.
