What is your opinion on "The Proud Boys"?

Post by Maddnotez »

I am sure by now most people have heard about this group. I am curious to hear people's thoughts on these guys. Feel free to include your age group.

For me, I fucking love these guys. Good for them, if I wasn't old and weak with a family to worry about I would totally join them.

I believe for one, there always has to be an Arch Nemesis. God vs Satan, Night vs. Day, etc. etc. So they already have a purpose but I feel these guys actually believe in something positive and stand up for what they believe in. Nothing against Antifa. I will say I am biased for sure but yes, Antifa stands up for what they believe in too (I suppose) but my thing is that I can't really see what they believe in and I feel a vast majority of them can't either. (based on interviews some can be found giving on youtube)

I do not consider The Proud Boys a gang. I am sure the authorities do however I do not think these guys are going out and selling drugs, committing the same TYPES of crimes (yes assault is a crime and they do that) or doing the typical gangbanger stuff that you can find in most inner cities.

Anyway, curious to hear other peoples thoughts and opinions.

My opinion of them is the same as the Southern Poverty Law Center's opinion of them.

Not here to argue ~ just sharing the opinion as asked, and I'll leave it at that. :thu:

Hadn't heard of them elsewhere and from the looks of the first few posts; probably not going to hear much about them here either

This isn't the music section wtf

I would label them more as punk rock though if they were a band.

maybe they wouldn't be all bad for the snowflake males of today:

The Proud Boys discourages its members from masturbating and watching pornography so as to motivate them to get "off the couch" and meet women.

They also encourage non white members to join, from their website.

I posted this elsewhere and saw so much hate from certain people. Then when discussing details they were misinformed about a lot of things.

Yes, well anti SJW.

To add to my last reply and after seeing a couple replies and many others wherever else I posted. These guys are not racists or nazis. Not even the slightest from what I can see.

Yeah ok, I am not a member so I don't know their true selves. I have seen posts on both sides without any facts but what I can say is that there is a Chapter where I live. One of the members is a white male who is married to a black woman and they have 2 kids. I am pretty sure they are not racist.

They're morons. I don't think they're an actual Nazi group although I don't doubt there are racists among them. They're most certainly a club though and like most clubs filled with tools. I have to admit I do like watching them and Antifa beat the shit out of each other.

lol @ SPLC who has to pay multi-million dollar settlements for defamation and misnaming groups and individuals as hate groups and extremists. See - Majid Nawaz

SPLC likes to pretend like they're still relevant and righteous. They're a machine that needs to keep being fed to stay alive so they get creative to fill the gaps. They did good work dismantling the KKK and that was a time when they're work was important. Nowadays they're an echo chamber for encapsulated ideologues who like to leverage their once strong credibility to attack people who aren't identitarian leftists. See - Majid Nawaz.

Now they might actually be right in the specific case of these Proud Boys, but handing over your own opinion over to the SPLC the authority is peak SJW soy boy brigade starter pack.

 It really is fun watching Anifa and the PB go at it.

Seriously, fringe groups should never be embraced by political parties.
Inviting the PB to speak at the Republican Club in NYC was not good for the USA as a whole.
It is an embarrassing time for Americans to travel to Europe. When in Italy, last year, I told people I was Canadian.
The Europeans used to love Americans now, they laugh at us.

EDITED because I was being a dick. My apologies, Mike.

My opinion, after examining the evidence, happens to agree with the official position published by the SPLC. I didn’t check with them first to find out what my opinion was.

Dude.

I actually came here to post this lol.

I saw a documentary with them at some point last year, I think it was an episode of Hate Thy Neighbor or something. If I recall correctly, I don't think I thought of them as what they have morphed into recently, but the potential was definitely there. Listening to what some of their members were saying it seemed like they didn't follow logical conclusions in their rhetoric. Of course, I say this as someone working on a criminology degree, so that's my frame of reference for everything.
