Effin Brilliant

Post by IndyWS6 »

I'm old - kiss my ass and get off my lawn

This is my favorite Chicago song. Covered brilliantly... It's not metal, or Hair Metal, but it rocks, none the less. Enjoy, or don't :)

Two things come to mind. 1) That was awesome. 2) Totally would the backup singer.

1. Great tune. Always loved it.
2. .. Would
3. I think it's hilarious that the trombone player is using a cheap Holton (<$500 used.. think middle-school instruments) and the trumpet player is using a Monette (>$30,000 used... gold plated)

Interesting... I don't know brass instrument values, but it's not the price; it's the talent behind it. And there's a ton of it in that studio... :thu:

Another great cover... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5XmUnYW5Ks

And the backup singer is even hotter in this one. Wood. Repeatedly. With a vengeance and a purpose... :thu:

Their cover of September came up on my YouTube suggestion feed. Sounded great, but it could use a little more cowbell.

I have nothing but mad respect for this level of musicianship, especially for the person who put it all together and recordeed/produced it all including the video.

Yeah, somehow I missed that.

What are you trying to say about the few thousand-dollars worth of gear that I own and hardly use? :wait:

 Right there with you, brother... I have far more money wrapped up in instruments and gear than a half-assed rhythm guitar player should. I don't suck because of the quality of my gear, that's for sure...
