so spent some time on the Xbox Test Sever this weekend.... man... it plays so much better than the actual game... looks better, loads faster and even feels better... hope they implement that shit soon in the main game....

The biggest thing I noticed was the loot was sparse as hell... after looting multiple houses I barely would have a full load out, shit was rough lol, not sure if that was because I was playing solo or if that's just how it is... Also, have to say I'm digging the desert map, I like that it's wide open and you can't just hide in a bush and need to keep moving using the terrain as cover... also I like that vehicles can't go EVERY WHERE, so the chance of being run over by some douche just driving around is much lower...

They said they are putting the desert map in the main game this Thursday, I hope they implement the UI and controls.

Mirimar suffers from inconsistent loot outside of the hotdrops and if you long/safe drop you can find yourself with large areas to cover and shitty gear quite easily. This is why most people prefer Erangel as even safe drops will net enough loot to get moving fairly quickly and there is enough cover to work if not. I don't mind Mirimar and I've done quite well baiting people as they tend to jump on loot traps more readily.

Ooooh, a full decked M4, don't mind if I *blam*

I found even when I went to Erangel the loop was sparse, all my faithful safe drops were giving me squat... what I noticed with Mirimar was that if you didn't have some sort of scope, man, you're going to have a rough game lol... I did like that they made many of the roofs accessible, makes things nice and spicy when ambushing or hiding.

Glad you guys got it Marc; there’s a whole population of PC people that hate Mirimar but I think it’s awesome. I was lucky enough to only be playing this game for a couple months and then we got the desert map, I couldn’t imagine playing the same map for almost a year, I’d have quit long before now.

Do you guys get the weekend events that we do? War Mode etc?

what I like about a game like PUBG is that it isn't the same EVERY TIME.... but yeah... Map fatigue is setting in so getting Mirimar is most welcome! No other game modes as yet and I'm hoping they give the map selection option soon if not when they release MIrimar because when playing on the Test Server this weekend it was annoying not playing more aggressively when In Mirimar because I wanted to explorer the map as much as possible so I wasn't taking drops that I knew would be hot and get killed running the risk of going to the original map, which at one point I had three games in a row there and I was pissed because I just wanted to play on Mirimar lol

So the new Xbox update is out.... still small issues... the original map is great now, really optimized, loads fast, looks even better.... Mirimar... not so much lol.... seems they need to adjust their priority algorithm for what gets loaded in first... the crashes are back too.. I crashed out twice last night.... all in all though... still enjoying the new map, I like that you can't play the game the same way due to the terrain

HAHA yeah. Well I really swung wide, & still.. somebody was nearby.

About your update.. Not sure what all youre doing, but for most casual shit, you just need the drivers. But NVIDIA kinda defaults to you DL'ing every fucking 3D, adjustment, blahblahblah... I personally cut all that out, delete, & just get the driver.

god damn the new "fixes" have made the Xbox buggy AF.... yesterday I was having some good session, then out of nowhere, CRASH... and for the first time I crashed and couldn't get back in to the session.. and man talk about having a killer load out, in the top 30, was in the zone and had MORE than enough time to load back in... nope... sorry... start over in a new session... the original map is really running good, but Miramar is still buggy AF

Man.. after the last set of updates, the damn games wont work for me. Standard one gives an error, & the Test server says its a version behind, yet wont update!

Man I’m really digging this new map; shorter games even in top 3, weapons fuckin EVERYWHERE, QBZ is beast mode, seems like the slower part mid game on other maps is way shorter, and I’ve yet to see any cheaters. I think I’ll only play this one from now on.

Riff, you know how to verify game files?

Right click, go to Properties, 3rd tab from left called Local Files, click that, bottom tab. Every time I’ve had an issue with this game it’s because I was missing a local file somehow.
