I'm a huge fan of the samurai movie genre... especially, Zatoichi movies and anything with Toshiro Mifune.
Not sure how I came across this but, there is a band from Japan, called the Seppuku Pistols who play traditional, 150 year old party music.
This type of music is in a lot of samurai movies, usually when the farmers are having a party.
It turns out that they are playing in my area for the first time so, of course, I bought tickets for their June 22 show! WOOO HOOOOO!!!!!
