just for the hell of it and today I decided to put it to test and search for a guitar amp forum

Nice. The company I work for does all organic SEO in the sites we build. A lot of hidden text and tags and stuff

im really not trying to be a dick, and im sure you've thought of this and conducted the tests on another computer, and i know NOTHING of SEO, but doesnt google tailor your results to what you like/search/use?

I thought of that too, but I just tried it at work and it's #1 here too. And the interwebz here was terrible up until about a week ago and we never really used it, so I don't think anyone's been looking up guitar stuff.

I tried from 3 different computer and 4 different phones. We're #1 alright. :)

I used to do this for a marketing electronics company as an intern. The company would sell refurbished electronics like monitors and I'd go to newegg or tigerdirect and look up keywords and put them in the tags of the html or something... You'd look up a monitor brand and size and our ad would come up towards the top of google :lol:

That's only if you search 'guitar amp forum' - I mean really - the URL of the website is guitarampboard......

I just tried 'amp forum' from my phone - had to go to page 13 to find us.
