But this dude's channel is fun. Popped up on my YT feed, so I decided to watch. Don't necessarily dig all of his interpretations, but he's got a cool perspective.

I like the way he breaks things down.
Not my favorite Steely Dan song, but overall, I really like them.
That IS one insane solo.. You wouldnt know how complex it is, because it just FITS so well.

Bernard Purdie is such an incredible drummer. Hard to fully appreciate his brilliance until you hear his isolated drums, or when he breaks it down.

True, in music like that, a great musician just makes the song better without calling attention to himself so much. But yeah, listen to that... & if you arent a drummer, its still hard to conceive. Even still, he makes it sound easy...

Watched some more of this series, it's great! I love hearing tracks in isolation, you can learn so much about those subtle parts that really make a song well produced. There's so much going on in that Police track he covers.

I think, besides some of Jimi's and Rev's shit, I've listened to his solos the most. (Read: stop. Rewind. Play. Stop. Rewind. Play)

He has a Rig Rundown on PG, too. Fapworthy.

This one's great. Not a huge Foo fan, but this song is a masterpiece, IMO.

Worth watching just to hear the isolated drumtracks. :rawk:

That WAS pretty cool. I like hearing tracks singled out & taken apart like that.

Rick Beato is super fun to watch! I really enjoy these videos. I knew there were dimensions to recording, but the way he breaks them down shows things that you have always heard, but didn't know were there. Also his son with the perfect pitch is phenomenal to watch!
