That rocks. Weird seeing Steven Slate on guitar though.

That's what Rob says in the video. He even asks Ian and he agrees.

Yes they do. I wish they still did Metal Gods, but I guess hearing Running wild will have to substitute for MG.

Here's the setlist for that show.

Metal Gods is in the encore. On the setlist you linked. That song fucking blows. Other than the crap off British Steel, the set list is pretty killer. As a massive JP fan from back in the day; I'm not sure I want to pay to watch Rob read off a teleprompter. That and his voice, while being killer compared to most mere mortals; just isn't what it used to be.

I didn't see that until I scrolled down to the encores. I love Metal Gods. Used to play it in a few bands. I don't get the hate for the British Steel album :idk: There are some great tunes on there. Rapid Fire is another one I'd like to see live.

Are you saying you really want to hear Living After Midnight and Breaking the Law again? :freak: Same goes for Another Thing Coming different album, same problem), for that matter. I don't. I'd rather hear deep cuts and they are doing that this go round. Which is cool. Everyone else seems to like British Steel but I'm just not a fan. Overplayed, overrated simple crap imo. There's no need to write a song telling me you're a Metal God when you could write a song that illustrates the point.

Yeah man give me deep cuts at this point. I don't even want to hear Painkiller... mostly because he can't sing it and it would ruin it for me.

3) Raw Deal
4) Burnin Up
5) Rapid fire
6) Hot Rockin
7) Blood Red skies
8) Touch of Evil
9) Deal with the Devil
10) Island of domination

That's the conundrum for me at this point. I am a HUUUUUGE fan but I don't want to hear those types of songs that require stratospheric power getting dumbed down. Tough songs to sing and I would rather remember the versions I heard on the actual Painkiller tour :idk:

Some excellent suggestions for deep cuts stuff here but most if not all are in that same boat for me as far as most of it being out of reach :idk:

I'll play along nonetheless (and maybe go over the 10 song limit with a medley or 10 :D ) . Answering while ignoring vocal qualms as well as having probably wayyyyyyy too many slower songs:
1. Rockarolla
2. Island of Domination/Dreamer Deceiver/Deceiver
3. Here Come the Tears/Dissident Aggressor
4. Beyond the Realms of Death
5. Deliverin' the Goods/Burning Up/ Before the Dawn
6. The Rage
7. Desert Plains
8. Freewheel Burning/Jawbreaker/Eat Me Alive/Night Comes Down
9. Reckless
10. Ram it Down/Hard as Iron/Blood Red Skies/Leather Rebel/Hammer and Anvil/Touch of Evil

^Ehh; they're both good. I'd probably pick Starbreaker instead. Which is actually closer to a Living After Midnight type of track without 40 years of being overplayed.

Late to the game, but I'll play...

10 killer deep cuts (well, maybe excepting The Ripper, but def one of my favs, and on ANY JP list) - not really in order
  • The Ripper
  • Sinner
  • Saints in Hell
  • The Rage
  • Let Us Prey / Call For The Priest
  • Dissident Aggressor
  • Tyrant
  • Exciter
  • Stained Class
  • Rapid Fire

Had to remove some to get it to 10... :|
  • Delivering the Goods
  • Steeler
  • Deep Freeze
  • Rocka Rolla
  • Never Satisfied
  • Raw Deal
  • Hero's End

...like how I cheat?

Sinner ? Hardly a deep cut. It was on their setlist for decades.

Never the less I approve of this list :thu:

Not in any particular order:

Saints in Hell
Love Bites
Freewheel Burning
The Sentinel
Delivering the goods
Take These Chains
Jawbreaker
Burning Up
Dreamer Deciever
The Rage

Some of these may not be deep cuts as I stopped following them after Turbo.
