OT: Painkillers

Post by theAntihero »

So ive had to have some dental work done, my root canal failed and now i gets an implant  , but im having a hell of a time with the various painkillers ive been prescribed over the years.

The problem is i get incredibly dizzy from everything. Tylenol 3 makes me less dizzy but also doesnt work that well, Hydrocodone makes me super dizzy after 1 or 2 doses and Oxycodone works great for a dose or 2 but then i get very dizzy but less so than Hydrocodone.

Anybody know what i can ask for when i go in next for the post being drilled in? Or how to counteract the dizziness? I dont enjoy the choice between terrible pain and deabilitating dizziness everytime i go to the dentist.

Agree. You should try some herbal alternatives.

Whiskey.

What's those non-narcotic painkillers that are all the rage these days? They're more potent than ibuprofen or acetaminophen, but they aren't supposed to dope you.

Sorry, I'm pretty useless, I realize this.

Learn how to take your drugs like a goddamned musician. Time to take off the training wheels, son.

Tramadol. Never tried it but I've heard good things.

Tramadol can still buzz ya, but it takes a few.

Never liked any pain killers. They make me sleepy & constipate me.

I had to take Lortabs after a heavy round of oral surgury. I went about a week or so without taking a shit. NOT cool.

I put out a log that was about 2 foot long, and about as big around as a soda can. (and bled like hell. Felt like a date with John Holmes)

That's it! All I could think of was "thorazine" which I KNEW wasn't right.

Yup, it can, but its at least a narcotic alternative to try. Nothing like techs on pain pills.
