Oh boy! The show starts in 3 hours and 17 minutes!

Brought my street cloths to work so I don't have look like a dork.
Meeting a buddy at a local bar for some cheap suds before the show WOOO HOOOOO!!!!

The g/f let me out on my own last Saturday -and- tonight... I'm going to have to do something nice for her so I can keep this ball rolling

Had a great night!

First, I met my buddy at a hipster bar called, Legion for some craft brews.


Then, we hooked up with a few friends who were also going to the show, at a dive bar called The Drift, for some inexpensive booze.


Finally, we walked over to Brooklyn Steel, a converted metal fabrication shop, for the show.
It was a good thing we had a few drinks before the show because, the venue was charging corporate rip off prices - $22 for a double Jack Daniels and seltza!!!
By the time we got there, we had missed the opening act. Had to go through metal detectors and got frisked but, they forgot to check our tickets! We could have gotten in for free!


The show was cool and the band looked like they were having fun. They were playing really high gain - it sounded good but, the guitars were a bit on the fizzy side. After 5 or 6 songs, they began sounding the same and I started yelling for them to play Shit List, which they eventually did. Bought a L7 t-shirt for my g/f and today, I have a really bad hangover... good thing I work from home on Fridays! Haven't had a hangover in a long time!

Was too far away anyhowz... was out of range!
Plus, the audience was there to see them this time so, no one was boooing or throwing shit at them.
They sound a lot better than they used to - they must have been practicing!
