I must've been about 14 years old when I was stuck in Mindcrime. I occasionally visit the album but I don't know where my CD went. I never really got into QR before or after Mindcrime.
Concept albums . . . who does 'em anymore?
I think Grimes and I saw QR live at the Long Beach Arena opening for Metallica in '89. I recall QR's drum set with the chains.

Operation: Mindcrime & Empire are my favorites. Rage For Order is really good also. I didn't like Promised Land and pretty much dropped them after that record.

I like Queensryche up to Empire. After that, I lost interest. Not a big fan of Promise Land or anything after it. Although the record with the new singer is decent so hopefully they will go in a good direction from now on.

I haven't seen them live since back when Tate was still with them (deGarmo was already gone, though...
