Lode Runner. :D

I might start up a Colonization or Civ 2 game later.

Or a new MOO2 game. I can beat it on hard 3/4 times, but impossible, I cannot.

Picked up a copy of Lollypop chainsaw and Borderlands. Does the game of the year addition have improved graphics? or is it literally just the same but with all the add-ons etc.

Did a few missions on Spartan Ops (Halo 4) on the weekend. I like how they put a bit of a continuing storyline into the game, even if you're playing the same maps over and over it keeps it fresh.

What is the deal with that game? I see it gets almost universal love so I tried it out and....ummm. I don't know what I was expecting, but not that. I only played for maybe 45 minutes, but is it worth a complete newcomer trying out?

I'd say so if you're an old school RPG fan. I was sceptical when I saw the setting style as well. It seems to get everything about that style of game right.

I'll give it another go. All I had heard was it was a classic RPG so I was expecting something along the lines of a Dragon Warrior/Chrono Trigger/Final Fantasy style setting.

It wasn't really a fault of the game, just my own expectations.

How are you trying to run it? In DosBox you can slow down the cycles and it should make it easy to find the right spot.

I haven't tried that yet. The rest of the game plays ok, for example sword fighting, but I will give that a shot! Thanks

No problem, hope it helps.

I think I just need to get a different copy of the game. Mine is fubar'd and I don't know why. :(

SWEET! If you get it you'll have to let us know how it is. :thu:

I have MOO3 ready to D/L @ gog.com, but not sure my laptop can handle it. I'm not sure I can handle it. I remember trying to play it a few years ago and was overwhelmed.

I've been playing NHL 09.

I never buy sports games when they're new. For $5 I can deal with the rosters being wrong.

I still managed to win the cup with the Leafs. Figure that one out.

At first the new star trek game was disappointing. Once you get over the initial level on the game it pickups up a lot more. Some annoying camera angle's and can be sorted with the right analog schtick, and the graphics are a little disappointing for something as big as this. They managed to get all the cast back from the movie etc. but couldn't quite make the graphics smoother...

Other than that once you get into it a bit more it is fun. A good 3rd person shooter with the odd puzzle and starship battle.

I have been playing NBA 2K13 on the 360 lately. My center is averaging 65 points per game... Working on an undefeated season.

I quit playing Champions Online to play on the SWG emu again. Just not interested in grindy level based MMO at the moment.

For those of us who play it entirely too much, the season just ended and playoffs start this weekend for Assassin's Creed 3.
I'm actually looking forward to a break from it once that's done. I bought Forza Horizon from the flash sale on Amazon last week, it just came in. :D

yeah, I don't mess with that shit anymore, unless it's something I can get on XBL arcade or otherwise DL for around 5 bucks. It really is pointless to buy those b-rated games for 20 bucks when you end up going right back to what you were playing before.
