https://youtu.be/9ok3ySEGn5Y Hello: First time joining a forum, I just wanted to get some feedback on an amp I have built. It is my 6th build project. It is a Marshall 2204 clone build. I should say that the amp is working fine. No issues to speak of. I just wanted some long time amp builders to have a look and see if they can give me some pointers or good advice on the build. I have put about 12 hrs playing time through the amp and no issues so far. Transformers run cool. The amp is nice and quite. no tube troubles. I have used the new Tung Sol El34B tubes for power. And the preamp tubes are the Baldwin green label 12ax7 tubes. Most of the parts came from Valvestorm. Please visit the youtube link above and give your feedback. I tried to post a pic earlier but I haven't figured out how you do that on this forum yet. So hopefully the expert amp builders here will have a look and tell me some pointers. Thanx!!
I'm by no means a final authority on audio electronics but I've built more than a few. Looks great man. Nice and tidy, input leads shielded, looks like you respected and were deliberate with every detail. Looks as nice as any I've seen. Good job
Welcome to the fold brother! This is the best guitar/amp forum on the interwebznet!!! GAB is known as the Den For Scum - we are a surly bunch but well meaning!
