The Stuff No One Wants To Hear Thread

Post by Steinmetzify »

Not going to clutter up the main forum for this stuff....I'll chuck stuff I'm working on for TV/film/personal stuff ITT.

This is supposed to be a club bang/EDM type thing going on in the background at a frat party. Submitted tonight.

Part of it, yeah. There's some other Kontakt stuff in there as accents too.

Thanks for the listen...have a feeling you and I will be the only ones in the thread lol.

32 seconds of random weirdness. Violins, cellos, a weird ambient pad and some chick singing.

So this is where you should stop. dive in to what you have and force yourself to only use what you got. Master it before fucking around with a bunch of other shit.

I say this, because I'm gear-money broke, and it's what I've had to do recently. I'm a better "producer" because of it though. For sure you got plenty of shit to make some cool industrial jams. Don't get all ADD with the shit. :cop:

It is! I love screwing with this shit when I have downtime at work. If nothing else it gets me some extra practice with mixing and I end up using different aspects of Ableton that I wouldn't normally go to.

Right? Totally different type of thing. Rhythms are different, playing piano is fun, and there are all sorts of weird soundscapes you can make for no reason at all!

I really want the NI FM8 and Massive, along with Kontour and a couple other modular effects.

Really I want all of their shit, except for their EQ's and mixing tools. With the Slate everything bundle I feel very well covered on the mixing front.

I need a good electronic percussion plugin too though, now that I think of it.

Your car is a piece of shit.

You're going to die alone, you loser.

Thanks hommie.....this is just some weird shit I do around here and with some friends. Not too many guys around here into this, but there are a few of us. I don't like to clutter the main forum with this stuff as I just record ideas for this shit when it hits me and then post these clips....sometimes 2-3 a day.

Speaking of which, expanded on the Creepy theme above, added some drums and a new melody. This one is coming along....still amateur hour for it tho.
