Attempts at electronic music production CLIP

Post by Ostinato Rubato »

This is a synth based techno-industrialist clip I've been developing little by little with some little bits of spare time that I have here and there. Trying to get a fat and punchy synth lead tone going.

Sounds like a dance club on the matrix.

I love it.

Yep...

with the exception of Gene popping in it's probably gonna just be me and Stein peeping the EDM/Industrial threads

Maybe also Loop. He likes techno too.

Yep. But I added a new part, and tweaks the initial synth tones to be less bassy and more leadlike

I dig it. Reminds me of old-school theme songs of sega genesis games, but better quality.

Thanks fellas. I'm in baby stages just messing with all my sounds and learning how to use the options I have at my disposal. Trying to figure out how to get the most out of each tool.

Sounds really cool. Tell us what you used. Love me some EDM and all that is industrial. Steiny knows that....

Thanks for listening man. I just saw this.

I'm using a Slate electronic kit with a really basic drum pattern. I add in some traditional drum kit high hat in there. The main synth is more like 2-3 synths, all from the Native Instruments Monarch plugin. At the half way point I also use a Native Instruments Moog type of synth for the pads.

Side chain EQ's and compressions, with analog console emulators and tape emulators depending on the sound. I'm trying to get thicker sounding synth leads that occupy their own space but also blend as one.
