Mecuriall U530 demo version (Lasse Lammert reamp...)

Post by Zozobra »

Since I have one of the mooer micro pres on the way I thought I'd try my hand at reamping some known good material to eliminate user error at the front end of the signal chain before I get frustated with getting shitty results  We all know and indeed, have heard the Lasse Lammert reamp tracks a million times so it's as good a place to start as any, even if we are sick of hearing it. After Billy mentioned the Mecuriall stuff a while back I grabbed the U530 demo. Nearly all the settings are locked in the demo, other than the ability to adjust the cab sim. This here is the bone stock VST with no mixing at all:

This confirms my earlier statement about user error being an issue with my earlier attempts as I think that sounds pretty good right out of the box. Now to work out what it is I'm fucking up...

Dude that's my go to sim for the last few months and well worth the $.

The clip I sent you yesterday used one of those IRs...just used that Mooer pedal, turned off the preamp and used the cab section.

I have their Spark sim too but this one really grabbed me.

Nice job on the reamp!

It certainly sounds pretty decent. I'll pick it up at some point. I'm gonna try out the tse x30 for shits and giggles too.

The reamp was literally zero effort other than installing the vst
