Anyone seen Y&T live lately ?

Post by Reverse Entropy »

I have a chance to go see them and was wondering if anyone has seen them in the past year or so.

Dave Meneketti (sp?) is awesome. I would have loved to have seen them. They came to our little town, oddly enough; arund the Summertime Girls era. I should have went but I was busy being a close-minded teenage metalhead :nope:

Yeah, Dave Meneketti and Chuck Billy have always been gold-standard vocalists in my view. I guess I need to rouse a couple of my bros and we'll go blow off some steam. The club has a great sound system in it too.

How about a band doing Black Tiger era Y&T with a Chuck Billy type vocalist... that's be neat-o

:hmm: I honestly don't know too much about Y&T as far as songs from whatever era. I know we used to do MeanStreak back in the day and that was a rocking main riff :rawk:

Yeah, I saw them March 2016 at BB Kings in NYC and they killed it. Dave Meneketti hasn't lost a thing vocally or playing wise with age. He sounded fuckin' fantastic!! It's a great show go check them out.

I saw them last year. The band is as good as they have ever been. Dave can still play and sing like a mofo. My only criticism is that their current set is super long (almost 2 hours) for a band that doesn't have too many hit songs and a lot of their songs sound very similar so it can get tiring after a while.
Guitars:
'78 Les Paul Pro / '89 SG Special/ '04 Gibson Les Paul Classic 3 pickup / Jackson Star/ Endres Tele / Fernandes Rhoads/ ''74 Hohner MIJ strat/ 2 Partscasters

Amps:
Depends on when you ask. I got tired of constantly updating this section lol

Cabs
Marshall 1960A w V30s/ Seismic 2x12 w Redback and V30.

Yeah I can see that. They had a lot of "hit or miss" stuff. Either it was bad ass or not so much.
