Kiss - I Believe In Me Video

Post by VTM »

This was posted on the Kiss My Boots podcast. I thought I had seen every Kiss vid. Nope! This just surfaced last month.

...in which KISS performs for 200 people who just got finished taping a Richard Simmons workout video...in Superman's Fortress of Solitude.

...and as I listen; I remember hearing this at some point and digging it. Maybe not all of it (but I dig the chorus). I noticed that Ace didn't sing on the verse that does "I don't need to get wasted..." :hmm:

Love Paul's white V.

Can't see to well, anybody have a guess as to what guitar Ace is playing. Looks to me like an Ibanez Destroyer, but I could be corrected.

Both Paul and Ace had some cool/different guitars in this period in addition to the expected stuff. When they did this song on Fridays (actually played it, not lip synced), Paul had a black Hamer explorer and Ace had a black LP.

It's like the swapped endorsements. Paul on a Gibson and Ace on an Ibanez.

Ever seen Ace's Washburn signature

Yeah, not a fan of that one. :nono:

Paul Stanley's best sig guitar by far was the broken mirror Iceman. For such a gleefully tacky band, it was...actually kind of elegant. :rawk:

The only person I know IRL that digs Music From the Elder is my brother. There are tons of cool bootlegs on youtube from that album. One of my favorites is Paul and Bob Ezrin in the studio working on Just A Boy.

Steve Carr Custom "mini" Explorer (it's a full size guitar just with a smaller body). Paul's V in this video is also a Steve Carr Custom.

I still have to give that full album a fair shake. The Oath is cool (Although limited by Paul's weak goofy falsetto), but I never really got past that song.
