What 16 year old white kid sings like Ray Charles?

Just one.

It's crazy that during his big 80s "comeback" (Back in the High Life, Valerie, etc.) he was only like 34.
"If there was only a way that I couldn't even any less than I already can't then I'd gladly not, but I think I've entered some quantum paradox, dark matter levels of can't evening where the total absolute value of not evenness exceeds all ability to explain the can'ting." - MR RUBATO

I saw a documentary about Hendrix, and people close to him said that he often spoke about wanting to start a band with "Stevie Winwood". Apparently he never actually asked him because he assumed that Winwood wouldn't have been interested.

We can only imagine what awesome music they would have created.

You don't have to just imagine, they did record some jams together. That's Winwood playing organ on Voodoo Chile (not child) on Electric Ladyland. There are also other bootlegs of jams they did floating around too.

I saw Stevie open for Tom Petty a couple years ago. Dude nailed everything on piano AND guitar. Such a badass.

I've told this story but this is a good place to tell it again.

I was on Santa Catalina Island for my honeymoon after my ex and I got married and I was at a bar where this dope ass guitarist Gil Torres does a one man show covering rock tunes with really well done backing tracks. Dude rips. Then in walks Spencer Davis with a harmonica and gets up on the mic and Gil plays Gimme Some Lovin'. it was fucking awesome. So Gil was playing some 12 bar blues and I got the balls to go up (uninvited  ) and start improving some blues vocals. It was well received. So I'm outside bumming a smoke off of Gil and Spencer fucking Davis walks up to me and says (British accent) "Hey man that was pretty fucking good what you did up there." I was like "Thanks man! yeah I was just improvising..." he replied,

"... well NO SHIT."
