Drum Programming Services?

Post by VTM »

I hate programming drums and want to pay someone to do it for me.

I've been learning up some Whiplash songs (vintage thrash metal for you noobs) and need reasonably accurate programmed drums. The timing often wavers with the Whiplash boys so I am looking for something as humanized as possible.

I don't want to do it myself.

I've found a couple guys who offer this service and I have contacted them but not heard back.

Anyone know of drum programming services?

I hate programming drums and want to pay someone to do it for me.

Download Whiplash tabs for Guitar Pro. Export drums as midi, import to Reaper. In piano roll screen hit H to Humanize. Drums programmed in under 5 minutes.

Do I have to use Reaper? I'm using Ableton Live.

I only found a few guitar pro tabs and they are not for the songs I want to learn. Do I need to get this?

If Ableton has a built in humanization feature then no.

I programmed a full Dio track for Steve Henning. I'm still tweaking it a bit but I can tell you, it'd cost a bit more than $20! Lol!

I'll have to try the humanizing trick as I do it all manually.

Oh yeah! It seems there are a lot more guys out there that are willing to record real drum tracks vs. programming them. I've been seeing $150 to do one song or a bit less if it's a package deal.
