Update released. Downloaded this morning and played for about 20 minutes.

Definitely tougher. Which is great as it was easy mode play at 50 with a backpack full of legendaries.

The thought of playing through the story for the 12th time isn't all that appealing, but the challenge is back at least.....and more skills and new weapons is nice.

I'm on Xbox and plan on Downloading the updates and giving it a 3rd play through in the super hard mode or what ever its called now... the only thing is I don't know if to do with my Mechromancher or with Zero.... also.. I've gotten really attached to my currently lvl50 gear... sucks now that I have to go find higher level versions of them lol

Ultimate Vault Hunter mode.

Right!? I've got 5 characters at 50 and one (zero) I'm playing with my bro-in-law from scratch.

I'm not sure which to continue with. I really dig all of the characters, in different ways.
Zero is probably the most fun/interactive/deadly......IMO, but Maya is probably my favorite for CO-OP.

The gear, I'm ready to move on. I think you'll be getting a lot more Oranges than before.....I read that people were seeing better drops. Assuming Pearls will be as rare as Oranges now.

Season Pass here too......and I've heard the complaints about ACM and BL2 (and BL1).....but I don't seem to be as serious/care as much some others. :idk:

The thing is I'm not big on the Legendarys to be honest... it all about what does the most damage which isn't always the case with a Legendary, I have some purples that are just stupid deadly... the annoying part really is that I have load outs for pretty much any situation and I like how its set up lol, now that the levels are going to be increased I'm going to have to get all new weapons to fill their spaces, so it's a matter of starting over per se after getting what I consider to be "perfect" weapons for my gameplay style with the two characters.. As far as Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode goes I'm pretty sure I'll use Zero the first time around and do another run with my mechromancer when I'm between games...

as far as I know the level increase is one aspect of the DLC along with a new expansion... how good it is will be a totally different issue... I didn't do any of the side missions in Hammerlock because I just didn't feel too and to me there was no real benefit since both my characters were already @ lvl50, so it was kinda like wasting XP and there were no weapons that I HAD TO HAVE in any of the side quests...

I think the 4th DLC comes out in a month. Supposed to be real big.....but idk for sure.
Another character in 2 months.

The 3 DLCs weren't that strong, I agree, and all relied on a theme/gimick to make them somewhat interesting......but so were 3 of 4 of the BL1 DLCs.
...but I don't think they misrepresented them at all. People's expectations are always VERY high for stuff like that.
I'm just happy there was more content to play. :)

Hammerlock was pretty weird tho. :nerd:

Plus they're now practically making a slag weapon required.

....with the enemy health regen, and the enemies having x4 health........they buffed slag to allow for x3 damage (rather than x2).

They increased weapon swap speeds too....so you could slag and swap a lot quicker than before.

That's why I'm thinking maya might be my go to....since phaselock can slag for me.

Zero with a slag Rubi or slag Rapier might be a good combo too. slag and stab.

I'm getting pretty impatient sitting here at work. I wanna play! :rawk:

3.5 hours to go. :o

Gaige should be pretty sweet in UVHM....those stacks are going to help.

I think they fixed some of the bugs with DeathTrap too.

Over time, I'm sure I'll play each character through all of the shit....including the new character. *lame fan boi*

I just re-beat BL1 with Mord....finally. Once BL2 gets tedious again, I'm sure I'll go back for the DLCs.

holy shit.... I made the move to Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode with Zero yesterday... god damn you REALLLY need to change how you play the game now! almost EVERYONE has a shield which regenerates pretty quickly, some guys even have Nova Blast shields!!!! I've done a few of the missions so far, I got as far as Midge-mong and did a semi rage quit lol... shit is hard!!! but it's nice to have a good challenge now instead of just the occasional bad guy putting up a semi decent fight.. will put some more time in this afternoon for sure...

It seems like the difficulty spikes randomly.

I was getting my butt kicked solo at first, but I think I just changed my approach a bit over time.

Also played with 2 other guys in co-op....the sheer amount of enemies is crazy. It gets chaotic quick. All you see is smoke, explosions and damage numbers in big fights.

Ended up making it past that one part where something happens and you can't go back to it until you find your friends (didn't want to put a spoiler in as some haven't played yet).

I did a lot of the early side mission, then just did the story missions. I took my time, checking chests and things.......I'll come back and do side missions later, I imagine....not to mention the DLCs.

gotcha.... I want to level up as fast as possible so I'm gonna try and do as much as possible as fast as possible, so the missions I can run side by side will be done that way... I hate seeing a gun drop and the back ground be RED and I can't try it lol and that's started happening already... plus I want to expand my skill tree more!!

Yeah, that's a great method. takes a long time though. The fetch quests get tedious.

There's so much game missed, if you only do the story missions....especially in the DLCs.

god damn Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode is rough lol.... it's like EVERYONE either has a shield or is armored so electric and corrosive weapons are pretty much mandatory... Thank god I bought the Hawk Eye sniper rifle in the last DLC, while it's normal damage is pretty low it's critical hit bonus is 580% so that coupled with a bee shield and some of the upgrades I have with my Zero character I'm getting 800K-1300K critical hits which makes picking off the slower moving guys from a distance much easier... the fast moving guys are a real pain in the ass though...
