Don't get too paranoid. I've opened shit and realized later it didnt have my name on it. I'm in 100% autipilot when I get home from work.

I would be so terrified now to get some pricey piece of music gear shipped to me there if I were you.

Yeah. My neighbor is nosey, and can be annoying some times, but if USPS or anyone else leaves a package at my place & I'm not home, he'll grab it & bring it to me or my wife when one of us gets home, or he'll hide it somewhere where I can find it & let me know when he see's me, or will call me.
Luckilly, my granny lives up the street a block from me. Our house numbers are similar & I have the same name as my Pappaw, so our mail gets mixed up sometimes. If a piece of mail, or a package gets sent to the wrong place, 9 times out of 10, It's @ my Granny's house. (Just gotta hope that if it gets sit on her porch, that one of her tom cats doesnt spray on it

wow.. what a douche... if he opened it big deal, just give it to you and say "hey man...sorry about that, I saw the package and opened it thinking it was mine but only noticed the label after" You can't tell me you'd be angry if that's how it played out... but to go about it the way it did you have a right to be pissed... very underhanded...

Murdoch wrote:^ Oh no, if it had panned out the way you described, I wouldn't have been pissed at all. Would have written it off as an honest mistake. But what obviously happened was that he opened it with the intent to steal it, got worried that they might get in trouble for opening something that wasn't theirs, then ordered the exact same thing and tried to pass it off as a late delivery. I guess in the end there was no loss since I got what I had intially ordered, but they obviously cannot be trusted.
(And if it had been a higher dollar item, might have gone ahead with the plan to steal it and play dumb.)

Maybe he just opened it by accident and really liked the belt? I'd be flattered. You obviously have good taste.
It's kinda dumb, but they certainly didn't have to order you a new one.

Buy a 50 pound bag of flour and a hairdryer.
Wait until they're not home.
Slowly sift it out of the bag at the bottom of the door while blowing it under with the hairdryer.
Sit back and wait until they come home.
Yell "Merry Christmas motherfuckers!!" when they open their door.

That's possible. Did it come with a receipt with an order date?
