Going to see Rick Springfield tomorrow.

Post by JiveTurkey »

I wonder if he'll play Jessie's Girl?

:hmm: :freak:  :rawk:

The wife and I don't get out much as we like to hang at home and I gig just enough where it's nice to chill when there are no activities going on. Found out about Rick, The Fixx and Romantics playing up north and decided to give it a go. I came up in the 80s and dig all the 80s pop; so it should be a good time. The Fixx are really underrated from that era imo. Looking forward to it.

Have fun, man :thu:

Just saw this a couple weeks ago on Tim Pierce's YouTube - didn't know he'd recorded with Rick Springfield in the 80s

Apparently, Tim just went to check out the show and got called on stage.

He's got some hits beyond the obvious. As overplayed as it is; the solo Neil Geraldo does on Jessie's Girl is absolutely perfect. We have been thinking about adding I've Done Everything for You to the list to see how it goes.

That's a great song. Don't Talk to Strangers is another killer track.

This might not be a good example; but the year the video's based in is kind of funny nonetheless

I saw the Fixx about 10 years ago. It was on a weeknight and there were maybe 20 people in attendance. Slobber Rod front row for the Fixx!

Rick was huge back in the day. Until that god awful movie  I remember reading a review of the movie "Hard to Hold" that simple said "Hard to watch"

Here's another hit. Good song originally written by Sammy Hagar. If I had the chance I'd go see Rick.
