Prolly has something to do with the 2016 Pompeii show that Gilmore is going to video.
He may be putting out a box set with all the Pompeii shows.
Why buy the DVD if you can watch it for free on YouTube?
A lot of YouTube footage and music is illegally posted.
Someone recently posted one of my CDs in its entirety on YouTube.
Because, I'm selling it on Amazon, I'm seriously considering asking YouTube to remove it.
It's bad enough that people share music files - I mean, making money as a musician is though enough these days, without people posting your shit on YouTube.
I was at my buddy's house for a BBQ the other day and we used YouTube for our music source.
3 hours of uninterrupted rockabilly and the musicians didn't receive a penny.
It's great for listeners but, bad for musicians.

^Actually you get royalties from youtube plays, as long as your songs are registered to some copyright office that collects the royalties for you.
I'd say Youtube is great for musicians, it's the biggest tool for finding new bands for most people. I always buy a CD when I find something good. I don't think I'd know a genre like darkwave even exists if not for yt.

That's kinda what I thought - I hate that kind of censorship.
Although I do get artists owning their intellectual property......
But the fact that it's been out there forever - and now it's not - doesn't sit right with me.
