Taking a hiatus from playing banjo at local jams and for hire for a while (at least until my new neck is delivered)
In the mean time joining the live band/touring lineup of my best friend's project Seraphim System.
It's one of his 3-4 EDM/EBM projects and currently signed to DWA Records, here are a few of the remixes and original pieces from the last year or so.
The first 3 albums were different genres of EBM and now I guess he is moving to a more metal influenced sound on the new album, and for the tour he will be adding live musicians and such to the stage show.

I'll probably just use a PodHD500X with another for backup, guitars will probably my Washburn Face Erasers and maybe a Skervesen or Caparison.

Sounds fun man, honestly.
I know that I am destined to one day do work in an industrial/EDM/world-music cross over project.
I know that sounds silly but I mean it. I have much deeper industrial/EDM influences than I would like to admit... I'm barely coming to terms with parts of those. I've learned recently that I enjoy trip-hop, trance, and even some dubstep and general electronica more than I should. I think my latin and world music rock style would fit into an electronic-rock crossover project very well. I daydream about such things. Not as much as straight up rock and rolling, but as a side personal project out of my home studio whenever I'm doing work on my eclectic rock stuff it always sounds ripe for an EDM DJ guy to help me produce and perform it.

I know that I am destined to one day do work in an industrial/EDM/world-music cross over project.

Very cool. You'll have fun. I know you didn't ask, but if it were me I'd use a mahogany guitar with a D sonic in the bridge tuned to D. I'd use a Russian Big Muff, Boss MTZ, a Devi Ever Bit and a suboctave, either a Pitch Fork or a Dexter. I'd use a Randall V2 Archetype into a cab with 4XEVM12L and that ISP subwoofer 2X12. That ought to do the trick.

Re: Brb playing in an industrial group.
I've recently been asked to play on an industrial album, I haven't heard any of the guys stuff yet, but he says it's in the vein of manson/NIN mixed with technology
I'm going to check it out next month, we'll see
