I'm outside the warranty too. It powers up. Lights work. No sound.
When I power down, the lights stay on for like ten seconds then fade away. I'm guessing there's a cap, grounding, or tranny issue.

is it a lunch box ? are they in the U.S. ?

It's a standalone unit, and the company is in the USA. On the website, it says they will repair stuff for a fee. Hopefully, it's nothing big. I don't see anything burned up inside. I don't see hanging wires, blown caps, or anything. Probably just going to have to send it in.

it's a wall wart, but I tried an identical wall wart from my other wa12, and it still didn't work.

only plus side I can think of it that it's small and light and you can ship it off pretty easy .

Already tried it.
Unit doesn't power on at all if the internal fuse doesn't work
