I felt bad giving it less than a 3, but 2 is really more what it deserves. God did it suck.

Sound City - 8/10

Two points deducted, because it was shot in a very cliché way and seemed very amateurish in it's editing and flow. However, since they managed to keep me interested in a story about a freaking soundboard (because that is really what the movie is about. Not the studio itself so much), they did something right. Nice performances and fun to watch.

Dark Skies 4-6/10 Alright... i went to see this with a couple friends the other day and while i did enjoy it, i feel like it just had some elements and idea's that were either hokey or poorly done. The last half hour or so is very good IMO but the rest of the movie lacked quite a bit. For being a lower budget movie it actually had some decent effects, which i feel really added to the lackluster acting/storyline for the most part. I can't give it a solid score because sometimes it's a decent suspense movie while other times it comes off as a hokey very low budget horror film (which i feel it's marketed as). I'd say redbox it if you're looking for a decent movie or looking to kill a few hours.

I don't know if it was just over hyped but I didn't find anything especially amazing about this movie, the special effects were pretty awesome though but that can only carry a movie so far. The Plot was fairly predictable with the except of maybe one or two minor things...

Saw it too the other day,It felt like the whole movie was just a buildup to Prometheus 2...
I give it 7/10 .

That's My Boy - 7.5/10

Alright, let me preface my review by saying that I have always liked Adam Sandler. I grew up with movies like Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore and The Waterboy, so I guess it is kind of engrained in my DNA.

I'm not going to say that this is the greatest movie, but if you like Adam Sandler's older stuff and you like Andy Samberg (or the movie Hot Rod), this is worth giving a shot. It starts off being pretty funny and doesn't really peter out like so many comedies do. Is it a cerebral comedy? Fuck no, it's Adam Sandler. Is it worth putting on if you are just relaxing, having a couple beers? Definitely.

I've heard That's My Boy is pretty classic Sandler.
His first 3 flicks (and honestly The Wedding Singer has tons of great bits in it too, and I also liked Big Daddy a lot) were just awesome so I've thought about NF'ing it.
However I can't fucking stand Samberg. Like he makes Sheila Jackson Lee look funny.

I don't mind Samberg. I liked Hot Rod, so he didn't bother me in this. It is definitely more Sandler than Samberg if that means anything.

I watched it while drinking, FWIW.

For a fun drinking game, drink a shot every time you see Adam Sandler with a beer in the movie.

Nope, this was the movie from 1950.
