It makes an appearance in all of Sams movies. This however is not being directed/produced by Sam Rami.

Looks a lot freakier than the original, obviously. I understand that Bruce is way too old to be in it, but I'm glad that he at least has a hand in creating it.

However, the fact that Diablo Cody had major input into the script kind of scares me...

As far as i know Diablo Cody's input was only translating the script from spanish to english i believe... I may be wrong but everything ive read about her being involved has made it seem like that's all she did

I work at a movie theater and i asked the manager who schedules movies if we were going to get it, he didn't know the movie, so i showed him the remake trailers and he's not sure if he'll schedule it because the trailer scared him too much So i might have to drive out of town to see it now

I'm approaching it like it's another take on Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2. Much like those first two were different takes on the same story. We'll see.

We ended up leaving the races early to go see it. (The generators that run the track lights went out, and they were playing country music over the PA system. My wife & I both loathe country music, so we couldnt take but 26 minutes of it before we had to go lol).


Was decent for a new horror movie. Alot better than any horror film (american anyway) made in the last 15 or so years. Not nearly as cool as it was hyped up to be, but I enjoyed it.

There was not really alot of the run in the ground stuff that you usually see in the horror films of the last 15 years. (Creepy looking / old dolls, weird looking dirty little kid, the fast motion / strobe lighted effect, over use of profanity..like in Rob Zombie movies, cliche sound track songs, rap / hip hop bullshit, over the top stuff, etc. )

Wasnt bad. I think it coulda payed a bit more tribute to the originals. A Bruce Campbell cameo would have been nice, but the Oldsmobile appearance sufficed. Needed tits.



On another note, the wife wanted to get a new toy @ the Pr0n shop. While we were in there, she spotted The Evil Dead parody, "The Evil Head" & had to have it. Was decent.
